A portion of an illustration from my children's book ("Katy Rose Likes To Say No!"), this illustration shows a dad, fed up with his daughter's defiance, telling her to go to her room. He is firm and stern, but is kneeling to his child's level, so as not to be intimidating or make her fear him.

My greatest joy is in creating collages. These images come to me in my dreams, and then I'm compelled to create them. I see the subject in a minimalistic way that, hopefully, unfettered by detail, captures the essence of it. I live on the beautiful and peaceful U.S. Pacific Northwest coast, which provides a great deal of inspiration. I am also a writer and freelance editor with a background in clinical psychology.
